In Te Reo with Whaea Katie we have been learning the simple sentence structure He aha tenei/enei? What is this/are these? We have been learning to name food in Te Reo and Whaea Katie created this Google Slide for us and we had to choose some food to show we know how to use the sentence structure.

Meet the Totara 2 Team!

Hi everyone. We've finally managed to get most of us to complete a slide introducing ourselves! So make yourself a cup of tea, sit back, relax and meet Totara 2!

Art

For the first week of term we decided to brighten up our classroom. We chose to blend pastels as our background with some of us choosing cool colours and some choosing warm colours. Most of us then chose to paint a silhouette of a Nikau Palm. They look really effective on our classroom walls! 

Baking

Today Totara 2 and 3 made some chocolate chip biscuits for Maths. We had to work out how much the ingredients cost and how much each batch of biscuits cost to make. We also used a Mindfulness technique before we ate our biscuits. We thought that they would be a great surprise for the staff so we shared them with them too. Mackenzie's mum sent us a lovely email to say thank you and to show her appreciation.

Totara's Christmas Concert Item

Last night and this morning Grey Main School had their annual Christmas Concert. As part of Totara's item the entire Syndicate performed Grease Lightening. Sorry the quality isn't so good but you get the drift!

Lunch Draw

Congratulations to Holly and Mya who won McDonald's for lunch for completing their basic facts for the term. Holly chose to take Mackenzie for lunch which was pretty cool because it was her birthday!

What an awesome way to almost end the term!

Royden's Maths

Royden has been working really hard on his maths this week with Belinda. He has been working on patterns and rules. This is Royden's pattern that he made up and made Miss Hines try and figure out. Great job Royden! You are a star!
