Reading

We have been continuing to read Kensuke's Kingdom for reading. Our activity was to work in groups to come up with 6 essential items that we would like to have if we were on a deserted island and give explanations as to why we chose these items. Poetry

This week we looked at the poem Didgeridoo by Roger McGough. It is a nonsense poem that has some fantastic alliteration. We went into groups of 3-4 and analysed the poem, picking out the features that we thought were the most important. We then brainstormed our own animals and tried to use alliteration and wrote our own stanza's in our groups. Here is the finished product:

cannot rap while running

wolf down hot rabbit stew

Polar bears

pee into ice pools
