Today Totara 2 and 3 made some chocolate chip biscuits for Maths. We had to work out how much the ingredients cost and how much each batch of biscuits cost to make. We also used a Mindfulness technique before we ate our biscuits. We thought that they would be a great surprise for the staff so we shared them with them too. Mackenzie's mum sent us a lovely email to say thank you and to show her appreciation.
Awesome,

ReplyDeleteMy name is Tania and I am one of the Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitators. I live in Whangarei, right near the top of the North Island, a long way away from you on the West Coast! I am the lucky person that gets to organise Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu so I will be checking out your blog regularly and leaving you some comments too. Your chocolate chip biscuits look delicious - I bet that is the best math activity ever! How nice that you shared them with all of the teachers. What a shame you can't try biscuits virtually - I will have to try out your recipe myself. Are you able to share the recipe?
Tania

You must have had to use a lot of teamwork and share lots of different jobs and it looks like it all payed off! Your biscuits look delicious!
How long did everything take and around how many biscuits did you make?
Hi I’m Brodi and I am in Te Ngahere(The Bush). Did you add them all the cookies up? That would be a fun maths time. I wish I was there. Were the cookies yummy, how many did you make ?
