Arahura Marae Visit

Today T2, P3, M3 and R4 got the opportunity to go to the Arahura Marae. We were welcomed onto the Marae with a Powhiri which was followed with some Kai. We then went back into the whare and we all introduced ourselves with our Mihi. Matua T then told us stories about the marae and the carvings that were inside. We learnt a lot about our local history and think that the marae is a beautiful place. Here is a photo of our group outside the marae. Thank you to Whaea Katie who took us for practices so we were prepared. We truly are blessed to live in such a beautiful place!
