Stir Fry Time!

We have been busy growing vegetables in the school garden and over the holidays they seemed to have sprouted so Mr B and Miss Hines decided to put these to good use and we got the chance to make a stir fry. We are now going to extend this lesson by writing instructions and a recipe on how to do it. They tasted amazing!
Harvesting the vegetables.
Parsley all picked!

Chopping the onions...
The carrots were a tad difficult!
We had a load of cabbage!
Ben's a masterchef!
It's starting to look good!

The boys ate more vegetables than what went in the pan...
We added cabbage and spinach to make it extra tasty!
The finished products!
We added soy sauce to give it extra flavour.
We couldn't wait to dig in!

Wonderful speeches!

It was like a zoo in Room 17 today (and we are not just talking about the kids!)
We had some special guests and some amazing speeches! Well done to all those children who have completed their speeches, we have been thoroughly entertained!
Danielle bought in her rabbit Jemmy. He was so soft!
Daniel's puppy Poppy showed us her tricks!
And she was super cute!
Asher did an amazing speech on mosquitoes...
And even bought some larvae in to share with us!

Wearable Arts... The beginning

The wearable arts process has begun! Watch this space!

Chad Came to Visit!

In the last two weeks, we have been doing speeches on a topic of our choice. Emily chose to do hers on Chad the Chinchilla and bought him in for us to see. He was super soft!
Miss Hines may have been slightly scared...
