On Friday Totara were lucky enough to be invited to the High School to view their science fair.
We also had a busy period after assembly with our buddy class, Room 8. They are doing a country study for the Olympics and we helped them research their questions. Next week we are going to use our trch skills and help them with their presentations.
Welcome to our class blog. We are Totara 2 and our teacher is Miss Hines. We're a class of Year 7 and 8 students in Totara at Grey Main School in Greymouth, New Zealand.

Geometry DLO's
For the past 2 weeks Room 17 has had a geometry focus for maths. We have been learning the properties of different shapes and have had some fun creating 3D shapes using nets. Check out our DLO's below.

Maori Language Week
For Maori Language Week we have worked with our buddy class to make Fortune Tellers. The questions are in Te Reo and so are the answers. We used a template to make our first one and then we made our own using our chrome books.

Calligraphy with Wendy
Today was our last session of Mandarin with Wendy. We have been learning to write Chinese characters and today Wendy bought in special calligraphy brushes and paper and we practised using water. The paper absorbed the water and it disappeared really quickly.

PrEP Booklets
PrEP is over and done with for another year. This year we decided to complete our PrEP books digitally and Shialla, Holly, Callan and Jimmy worked really hard as secretary's and treasurers to make sure they were up to date. PrEP was really successful this year and we can't wait for next year.
Leave a comment below on how you thought PrEP was and what went well for your groups.
