Reading with Room 16

We were lucky enough to have Room 16 come and join us for reading in the library.

Writing Time...

Today Miss Hines shared this picture and the story starter with us. Our job is to look at the picture and then create a descriptive piece of writing. We haven't quite finished but when we do some of us will post our awesome writing on the blog!

Brrrrr It's Cold!

It has been so cold the past two mornings so today we decided to write about how we hate getting out of bed to come to school! Check out Michael's fantastic, descriptive piece of writing:

It was morning. Outside, the frosty wind, howling. Everything in its path, frost. Inside, under the damp blankets, me. Frozen and shivering. I hear, footsteps, outside my door. No, this can't, this can't be happening. There getting closer, closer. I try and hide, under my pillow, but I know, it was no, use. They would find me, take me, to where I dreaded most. School. The door creeps open. I can see the menacing hand, slowly coming into view. This is the end.

Room One's Moon Writing!

Room One came to share their fantastic writing with us about the moon! We learnt a lot, especially Miss Hines, who was so disappointed to find out that the moon wasn't made of cheese! :-(

The Art of Selfies

Selfies, let's face it, we've all taken at least one.. (Some more than others) and Mr Wood kindly showed Miss Hines an awesome way of turning our selfies into a work of art. We think they look pretty cool and if you want to see more, come along to assembly on Friday!
