ANZAC Walk

Today T1 and T2 finished off this weeks ANZAC work with a walk down to the cenotaph, the RSA and the old Grey Main memorial gates at Dixon Park. At the cenotaph we looked at the names of all the soldiers who never returned from WW1 and the names of the places that the battles took place in. At the RSA we met John who showed us all the war memorabilia that the RSA had collected, including the guns that were used in WW1 and the medals that the soldiers were give. At the gates of Dixon Park, we hung the poems that we have written on the backs of poppies and Katelynn, Kyra, Reagan, Megan and Harvey read their poems as a mark of respect and remembrance. Some of our class also went across the road to the old people's home and delivered the ANZAC biscuits that we made this week.  We all really enjoyed taking some time to remember those who fought for our freedom so many years ago.
