However when we did our activities we got a $10 note for each correct question (it was fake of course). We could combine our money into groups to make larger sums of it all or stay on our own. It was meant to be that the group or person with the most amount of money won but we never really got around to doing anything like that.

I think it’s smart to run through West-A-Maths. It’s a way to challenge kids with math questions. It’s also the perfect way to get kids interested. Make it a competition. Kids always love to prove they’re good or better at something. It’s even better that it’s maths as a lot of children don’t like maths.

I would also like to ask how long did those activities take? It seemed like there was a lot of them. How many teams did you have overall in the competition? How many of them won? I also like the camera work, it looks crystal clear! Great job overall as well. That was a pretty good post. We have some maths work as well on our blog if you want to check it out.

Sincerely yours
Josh
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4107678357177168009.post-56079474446823898412017-09-26T10:06:59.927+13:002017-09-26T10:06:59.927+13:00Kia ora Greymain,

My class had to go on the NZ maths week website and complete the tasks set at level 4 and 5. When we had got an answer correct we got a fake $10 note. We could join into groups and the person or group with the most amount of money wins.

I think it was a good idea to run through for West-a-maths. It was a good idea because you could see what it would be like on the day for West-a-maths. Also the pictures were clear to see. I even recognized some people from the pictures. Did you do anything else for maths week?

Next time you could include what types of questions you had to solve. Also the students personal comments on maths week. Did they enjoy it or not? Did they learnt something new? What place did you guys come in the West-a-maths competition?

Kind regards
Greanne

Check out my blog: http://karorogreannew.blogspot.co.nz/ Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
