Baking

Today Totara 2 and 3 made some chocolate chip biscuits for Maths. We had to work out how much the ingredients cost and how much each batch of biscuits cost to make. We also used a Mindfulness technique before we ate our biscuits. We thought that they would be a great surprise for the staff so we shared them with them too. Mackenzie's mum sent us a lovely email to say thank you and to show her appreciation.

  2. Kia ora Totara 2,
My name is Tania and I am one of the Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitators. I live in Whangarei, right near the top of the North Island, a long way away from you on the West Coast! I am the lucky person that gets to organise Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu so I will be checking out your blog regularly and leaving you some comments too. Your chocolate chip biscuits look delicious - I bet that is the best math activity ever! How nice that you shared them with all of the teachers. What a shame you can't try biscuits virtually - I will have to try out your recipe myself. Are you able to share the recipe?
