Enlargements

This week we have been doing enlargements for Maths. Enlargements come under the Geometry and Measurement strand and they require the children to measure and draw their grid on their small character and then estimated the new size of their larger grid. They then used division to check that their estimations were correct for their larger grid. I was really impressed with the first attempts T1 made and we are going to continue to use the new skills we have learnt this week to create
some more!

  1. I like that you have been putting a lot of effort in your maths work. I love the characters you have drawn. But next time could you tell me more about what you have learnt in maths and how the pictures are linked for what you've learn't in maths.
But I love the pictures and great drawing.

  7. Hi Ora Totara. All your drawings look great and different from each other! How long did it take to draw the pictures? Were they hard to draw? I have once done something similar to that, I had to copy a picture with a grid.
